Movie is not just a two hour story but a lot more ...."it is a crafted situation surrounding few real life characters."
Couple of months back ,I was discussing the issue of how to make a successful cinema or rather how to convince audience to make it a successful cinema and one of my friend said "Convince me and keep me involved...." becomes a successful movie.This punch line enlighten me to take then approach of create,involve,coordinate and complete.Does it sound too technical...yes but it is simple.
If you can convince group of people around you the chances convincing wider audience is immense.
In Software there is a concept "Open source Development",which means group of similar mindsets will work together for building the software in a distributed environment.The whole process works like throw the idea,get the people to expand it,involve people to contribute and complete it.
Now let me fit the above software process for movie making,let me take an example,I have a thought ,a one liner story,"a guy falls in love with a girl and does not know how to express it",this is most common stuff in indian cinema and has been told very successfully many times but I bet this can told many more times again.
This story ,a one liner will be thrown to group of people("idea"),individuals in this group will add their creative thoughts to this one liner(expand the concept) ,share among the group(coordinate) and gives it a shape-a 3 hour story gets written,isn't simple........Everyone in the group need not be just story writer but can be technical like screenplay writers,dialogue writer,cinematographers,musicians,directors.........the idea is open sourced to create a complete finished product.This does not end here,many brains will work,heterogeneous thoughts are combined,wide set different kind of people contribute,coordinate and build multidimensional movie.This product is outcome of group of wide variety of people (that is wider audience)....still it does not guarantee the success but minimizes risk of failure
I am looking for people who are passionate about movies as famously said "Eat,sleep and Drink movies".
This blog will talk more on "open source development of movie making" in all the departments of movie making "story,script,dialogues,screenplay,music,cinematography,,,,,".

Movie cannot be a profession but a passion.I am sure ,people does not live just for sake of living it but there will be a passion deep inside them that drives them through the life.
